The One Hotel Angkor is named not for some outsized ambitions, like “one hotel to rule them all,” but for its fairly humble and unassuming reality — it’s a hotel with just one room, located upstairs from a café on the Passage, a pedestrian street in a youthful, bohemian neighborhood of Siem Reap.

Of course it’s an excellent room.
