Thompson Hotels, the small luxury hotel group that has multiple properties across Manhattan is coming to Seoul. They are opening Thompson Seoul – Seoul’s first true boutique hotel. Hong Kong and Shanghai have the Jia Hotel, Bangkok The Metropolitan and Davis, while Singapore has New Majestic, Naumi and The Scarlet. But until now the W Seoul was the only “chic” address in town, while The Park Hyatt was is only true modern luxury hotel.

Sleek & Chic ~ The Opposite House, Beijing, China

China’s Spectacular Zhangjiajie National Forest

Located in Hunan Province in China, Zhangjiajie National Forest Park covers a total area of 9,600 sq. km. This scenic area which was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1992. In the area many scenic spots such as Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, Baofeng Lake, Suoxi Valley, Tianzi Mountain, Zhangjiajie Nature Reserve – together with Huanglong Cave (Asia’s largest cave), and many beautiful bridges, brooks and waterfalls. A Cave of Buddhist Wonders

The Mogao Caves (Caves of the Thousand Buddhas, or the Caves of Dunhuang) are an intricate complex of Buddhist temples inside caves near the city of Dunhuang in Gansu province, China.
Located in China’s Gobi Desert and designated as UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987, “Mogao” is Chinese for high up in the desert. These are remnants from China’s glorious Silk Route, at the crossroads of trade as well as religious, cultural and intellectual influences, the 492 cells and cave sanctuaries in Mogao are famous for their statues and wall paintings, spanning 1,000 years of Buddhist art.
